Main Scope
This Development Manager leads the Consumer Dairy Team located in Singapore and is responsible for the overall quality of development and technology projects led by the Singapore based development team. He/she is responsible for connecting with cross functional teams including Commercial, Supply Chain, R&D expert teams in Asia to deliver innovation pipelines for Business Group and roll out initiatives in Asia.

Key Business Deliverables
- Responsible for the overall quality of development projects led by Singapore based Consumer Dairy Development Team and the R&D roll-out strategy in Asia
- Responsible for chartering and execution of technology projects led by SG based development team
- Responsible for connecting with R&D’s expert teams in Asia and developing R&D strategy in delivering nutrition, sensory, and new technology for initiatives in Asia
- Contribute to the development of innovation roadmap by working with SG based global commercial team and being the technical innovation lead in Singapore
- Responsible for resource planning and prioritization to support innovation and trouble-shooting for quality issues in Asia from SG based Team
- Support annual business planning and input to innovation stage gate process from development activities led by SG team
People Management Responsibilities
- Hire and develop talents and maintain a healthy and motivated team in Singapore
- Assess, plan and provide training for Singapore based development team
- Build network with regional functions and development teams for driving excellent execution for business led projects
Requirements
- Academic training, preferably in food science, nutrition science, or adjacent disciplines with a Master’s or higher degree
- A minimum of 10 years of product development or technical innovation experience in food industry. Having experience in the development of dairy products or technology would be a plus.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience with managing a team of 5 or more direct reports with excellent influencing skills to represent R&D function in complex and dynamic cross functional environment
- Excellent communication and business presentation skills in English. One or two additional Asian languages is bonus
